Spirit Horse pastel 6"x6"

This morning I woke up at 5am and decided to honor my 'power animal' - The Horse. Recently I was asked by a gallery visitor which of the many animals I paint was my 'power animal'. Not knowing anything about power animals, I did a bit of research and was referred to a shamanic practitioner.

Power Animals are protector spirits that help us in our daily lives and in our spiritual search for Harmony. They act similarly to a guardian angel, giving protection. It is believed that everyone will have a few of these guardian animal spirits over the course of their life. It is important to honor your power animal...
