I am back from my travels and have lots of photos to work from and pastels to finish and frame... I have posted a couple of photos below...

Black Leopard Photo by Carol Santora


"Black Leopard" photograph... As you can see I photographed this black leopard behind fencing in his enclosure. He was very interested in sounds he was hearing coming from an area beyond my vision. Wildlife rescues are limiting access to the animals even for private photo shoots. At one time an artist could photograph through the fence holes to get shots without the fence lines, however to limit human contact with wild animals, this is no longer being allowed. It is for the safety of the photographer as well as the animal...     Comments

"Snow Leopard Drawing" graphite, 24x18"... I photographed this female snow leopard during my recent photo shoot in Florida. She shyly crept out of her cave to check me out. I will be doing a pastel demonstration on Sunday, Novemebr 19 at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, and she will be my subject. Check back for the next stage...     Comments
