"PAWS Cat Raw"	"PAWS Cat Proposal"

Here is the fiberglass cat I am going to paint for the pAWSitively Ogunquit Fundraiser.
Artists were 'called' to submit designs for a cat or dog and a committee coordinated selected designs with sponsors. My sponsor is Perkins & Perkins of Ogunquit. The selected design is above also.
My first step was to paint the cat with white gesso.     Comments

Today I continued to work on the noses and muzzles, and coat color. The cat's eyes were looking upward and I wanted them looking forward so I changed them. In adition, I began painting the first layers of white, pale ochre, and gray hair on the legs and paws, tail, chest and belly, as well as in other areas.     Comments

Today I blocked in the second layer of body color, which is more opaque, over the coat and faces.
My last step, which will be posted when the cat is completed, is to work on the final details. I have finished as much detail as I want in the faces and started the final fur layer. Check back tomorrow!     Comments
