Internationally-recognized, award-winning animal and wildlife artist Carol Santora is the featured artist on Sunday, July 22, 9am to noon, at the Nonantum Resort, Ocean Ave, Kennebunkport as part of the Breakfast with the Artist series at the resort. As she demonstrates in the lobby, resort visitors will have the opportunity to watch her paint and to see a representative sampling of her work.

Santora’s portfolio includes local scenes, but she is best known for her soulful animal and wildlife portraits. Using vibrant color to convey a sense of vitality in her soft pastel paintings, Santora relates that “painting animals and wildlife has been my passion since childhood. My painting style is expressive of my personal vision. Whether it’s an intimate close-up of a big cat or a commission of a cherished family pet, my goal is to simplify my subject to capture its essence and unique personality.”
