"Kennebunk Dog Park Celebrates One-Year Anniversary!" June 9, 2006Kennebunk, ME- The Kennebunk Dog Park’s celebration of its first year of operation will take place as an open house on Saturday June 24th from 10am-1pm. The open house will be held at the dog park’s Sea Road site. We will have some wonderful and creative folks to help us celebrate our four legged friends. In attendance will be the artists Carol Santora, Ann Legg and Nancy Cooper, all of who create photos, sketches and paintings of your 4-legged family member. As a fund raising initiative, saleable items will include dog water containers, doggie scarves and doggie-themed goodies. Other friends of the dog park who will be in attendance will be the owners and staff of Reigning Cats and Dogs and DownEast Pet Supply. There may even be cookies for those with both two and four legs!! So please leash up your pup and join us for a fun celebration. The Animal Welfare Society, in conjunction with the Kennebunk Dog Park Committee, has worked closely to sponsor this park and for more information, the AWS can be reached at 985-3244 or on the web at www.animalwelfaresociety.org.
