“Pet Portrait Demonstration at Hounds Tooth Inn” Press Release - August 2007Award-winning Kennebunk animal artist Carol Santora will be doing a pet portrait demonstration in pastel at The Hounds Tooth Inn, 82 Summer Street, Kennebunk, Saturday, September 1, 8:30-10am. Inn visitors will have the opportunity to watch Santora paint, see samples of her work, and have their pets photographed for a pet portrait of their own. FMI call Carol 207-985-2830. Santora is best known for her soulful animal and wildlife portraits, and heart-warming commissions of family pets. She loves animals of all kinds and that passion is colorfully expressed in her work. Whether it’s an intimate close-up of a big cat or a cherished family pet, her goal is to capture the spirit of the animal and its unique personality. The internationally-recognized artist donates a portion of the sales from pet portraits of AWS-adopted dogs to the AWS. Most clients have a favorite picture or two of their pet they would like Santora to paint, however she can photograph your pet for you at the demonstration. Good quality, clear photos of your pet are most important. If Carol doesn’t get to meet your pet, she likes to have additional pictures of the animal in any pose so she can get to know them. Portraits usually take 3-4 weeks and can be shipped anywhere in the US. Santora’s paintings can be seen at her gallery on Fletcher Street in Kennebunk and on her website: www.carolsantora.com.
