Plein Air Pastel Workshop Itinerary 2008

on location: Cape Porpoise, Maine

We will paint daily at this lovely location, my favorite spot! Artists are encouraged to wander the area to photograph and sketch after the workshop, as well as continue to paint. Aside from instruction in basic techniques, these workshops will be personalized to the student's needs. During inclement weather, we will paint at The Hounds Tooth Inn.

JULY WORKSHOP

Dates: Wednesday & Thursday, July 23 & 24 - 8:30AM-2:30PM
(brown bag lunch or purchase on site)

  • Wednesday 8:00 am – meet at Hounds Tooth Inn and depart for Cape Porpoise Harbor
  • Thursday 8:30 am – meet at Cape Porpoise Harbor
    Both days:
  • 8:30-9:30 am – demo and instruction
  • 9:30-11:45 am – open painting and ongoing critique
  • 11:45 am -12:15 pm - lunch break if desired
  • 12:15-2:00 pm - open painting and ongoing critique

  • Wednesday 2:00 pm - trip to Wright Gallery
  • Thursday 2:00 - Group Critique all work.
